Friday Night Shoots
The WA-XO-BE CLUB Friday night shoots meet every Friday from 7.00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Clubs indoor range except for certain dates shown on the main page and all of July and August.
***Friday Night Shoots Are Cancelled until further notice. Check Back soon for updates***
THERE ARE NO FRIDAY NIGHT SHOOTS DURING JULY AND AUGUST.
The shoots have been very busy. We are limited to the first 30 archers. After that we cannot take any more and we cannot let people stay to watch. We have reached our limit as early as 6:25. When you arrive you will receive a number and archers will be registered in their order of arrival. We cannot take any pre-registrations. New archers will need to fill out a waiver form and listen to a safety talk prior to being allowed to shoot. There is no guarantee that anyone will be at the club before 6pm. If you arrive early we ask that you be patient because we have to set up the range and our registration people may not arrive until 6:30. We are very sorry if you are turned away.
Friday Night Introduction to Archery
Our Friday Night Introduction to Archery program is one of the more popular offerings at Wa-Xo-Be Archers. The program is for the public and absolutely no equipment or prior archery experience is required. In fact, it is intended for the enjoyment of the public and the "archery curious".
The Friday Night shoots are held from 7-9pm. The cost is $10 for ages 14 and above and $5 for full-time students, all payments must be CASH ONLY, exact change would be appreciated; no large bills please. All equipment is provided by the club, free of charge. Individual must be 8 years or older to participate in Friday night shoots. Children may not be dropped off. Capacity is limited to the first 30 archers. We apologize if we cannot fit everyone in. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by their legal guardian who must remain on site. We cannot be responsible for minors.
If you have your own bow you are welcome to bring it. Prior to shooting please have an instructor look it over. First time participants are guided through our range and archery safety procedures then are assigned to a member of our Wa-Xo-Be Instructor Staff who offer quality basic archery instruction in a safe, fun and friendly environment. The entire evening is supervised by a senior staff member and most of our certified instructors have competed in state and national competitions.
Reservations or pre-registration are not required, so come on down and spend a fun, challenging, maybe even thrilling evening learning a modern spin on an ancient sport. You'll be amazed at just how much fun you may have. The Friday night shoots are not intended to be a venue for social networking or for birthday parties as space is limited. We cannot accommodate large groups. If you wish to schedule an event for your group (i.e. boy and girl scouts or cub scouts) or work team building contact
