ABOUT THE JOAD PROGRAM – JUNIOR OLYMPIC ARCHERY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
The JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) Program provides archery instruction and competition for young archers across the country. Through the JOAD Olympian Awards program, these archers can earn incentives as they develop and improve their scores up the ranks of Yeoman, Jr. Bowman, Bowman, Junior Archer, Archer, Master Archer, Expert Archer, Olympian, Silver Olympian and Gold Olympian.
The JOAD members get an opportunity to take part in JOAD archery tournaments at both local and National levels.
From beginners to Gold Olympians, thousands of young archers learn the fun and excitement of archery in more than 250 JOAD Clubs annually. The NAA also provides continuity for JOAD archers to participate in the sport beyond the age of eighteen through college and local club programs.
